Special thanks to Marty Stout, volunteers from SAFB 3rd Manpower Requirements Squardon, and members of the O'Fallon Cross Country Track Team for volunteering to paint our game-room. Not only does it look wonderful, but our kids are thrilled with their new room!

If you walk down stairs in the Leu Civic Center, you're likely to find children playing basketball, taking pitching lessons, or even practicing volleyball. This full size gym has been an important feature of the building for generations- dating back to when the original structure was a high school! However, eight month ago the gym floor suffered severe water damage. Repairs included installing pumps, moving water away from the structure, reinstalling floor tiles, and waterproofing the walls. Costs totaled $5,000.

The repairs are done, the gym is open, and the children of our community have a safe place to play again! But, the staff and Board of Directors are looking for assistance from the community to recoup the cost of repairs. Whether it's a financial donation, or just marking your calendar to take part in any of the fundraisers, we would greatly appreciate your help.

To help the civic center or for more information about the gym floor fundraiser please call Patty Peek, Director, Leu Civic Center, A United Way Agency at (618) 566-2175.
